What is Frozen Expedition?
Frozen Expedition is Duck Survival's July 2026 guild adventure — a four-week seasonal mode where guilds fight monsters, compete in the Gladiator Arena, capture cities on a shared map, and unlock Gene Tech abilities. The preview window opened July 3, 2026; core Expedition gameplay started July 6 for eligible accounts.
This is not a solo campaign chapter. You need an active guild, a server that has been open at least fifteen days, and Stage 20 cleared on your account. If you are still in early chapters, finish the beginner guide and story progression guide first — Expedition rewards assume a stable PvE roster.
Season calendar and truce period
The Frozen Expedition season runs through August 2, 2026. After the season ends, a Truce period lasts from August 3 to August 9 before the next Expedition cycle begins. Use the final week to spend event currencies and claim guild mail — unclaimed rewards often disappear when truce resets the map.
Track version changes on the game updates page. Developers may hotfix Expedition balance during the season; check Discord announcements on the community hub for mid-season rule tweaks.
Eligibility checklist
Server age: Your server must be open at least fifteen days. Brand-new servers see the event banner but cannot enter Expedition battles until the timer clears.
Stage 20: Clear Stage 20 in campaign before the Expedition map unlocks. Players below this wall should prioritize tower economy and one carry from the tier list instead of forcing guild content early.
Guild membership: Join a guild with regular Expedition participants. Idle guilds lose city control and miss shared Gene Tech unlocks. The gift codes and guild guide covers early guild setup.
Core Expedition activities
Monster battles: Guild members clear PvE camps for resources that fund Gene Tech and building upgrades. Bring control and sustained DPS — burst-only lineups fail on multi-wave camps.
Gladiator Arena: Guild-vs-guild PvP pressure tests tempo teams. Read the dedicated Gladiator Arena guide before spending stamina on random attacks.
City capture: Hold map cities for passive resources and guild glory ranking. Coordinate attack windows in guild chat; solo captures without backup often get flipped immediately.

Reward priorities for F2P and low spend
Prioritize Gene Tech nodes that boost your main carry stat or guild boss damage before cosmetic banners. If Expedition currency is limited, skip duplicate mount shards when your campaign roster still has tier list gaps.
Claim every event code on the gift codes page — developers often publish Expedition login codes through Discord during the season. Use the code claim tracker to avoid retrying expired strings.
